Pacific West Benicia Library Winter Event

Hi everyone! Here is the information for the library's winter Smash Bros tournaments.

Signups at 12:00
Starts at 1:00
Tournament must be over by 6:00

SSB4 and PM tournaments (no Melee)

1v1 only
2/3 games
grand finals 3/5
double elimination
PM uses Paragon LA ruleset
SSB4 uses Genesis 3 ruleset

Entry is completely free. As result, prizes will be paid out in gift cards of the winners choice.

All non-local players are invited.

Everyone will be asked to RSVP so we can figure out the number of participants

32-player cap for both games except for..

bracket of death (8-12 players maximum)
-intended for players who are late or don't RSVP. Once the BOD spaces are filled up, there will be no more entrants
-1 game, single elimination
-top 2 face off in BOD finals using the last two spots in the 32-man winners bracket
I'm expecting a large turnout, but if less than 34 players show up for each game, we won't have to do this.

Prize amount is proportional to the number of entrants
-Greater than/equal to 8, less than 16
1st - $20
2nd - $10
3rd - $5
-Greater than/equal to 16, less than 32,
1st - $40
2nd - $20
3rd - $10
-Greater than/equal to 32
1st - $80
2nd - $40
3rd - $20

Be sure to look at semis and finals. These are from a couple months ago, so players are a bit better now.

I'm asking again, am I able to use a wiimote and classic controller like last time?

Hi! Yes, you can use your own wii remote and classic controller.

FYI My plan is to play only singles in Project M. However, I need to work Saturday morning until around 12 and therefore won't be able to register until 130/200. Please let me know if this is ok.

Sure, I'll sign you up. No guarantee that your spot will still be there when you get to the library though. Tournament will start promptly at 1, and we will be moving along as the library closes at 6.
