Beginner Game & Watch + Sheik Player Looking for Advice

Hi friends! :D

My name is TeeKhay, and I want to start entering/hosting tournaments for Brawl. I've been spectating for a while now, but spectating and playing are of course very different. With my first tournament coming up soon, I have one goal: to play as many people as possible and learn as much as I can. At the same time, I really want to do well. I've been practicing Game & Watch and Sheik a lot, and I stomp everyone at school with them, although they are all casual players so I don't get much out of the matches. What are some good strategies to learn for these characters? Any advice that could help me?
