Been messing around with Falco lately...

And here's what I think..:

1. Holy hell his combos are hot stuff. I especially love doing them on Platformed stages. Shining someone on the base of Battlefield to the top platform to an edge-cancelled Nair to Dair > Utilt on the left platform > Bair is just one of the things that I did. They're not as cool-looking as desynch combos but they're probably a close second. I like Falco's combos more than almost any other characters.

2. I can't bring myself to SHL alot. Mostly because I suck but also because the people I play with view it as a broken tactic. I once also had that mindset but now I just view it as an aggravating tactic. Not broken but pretty cheap, I guess. I can't seem to:
A- get the lasers close to the ground
B- Long jump SHL/Retreating SHL consistently. This is interesting because I thought that if I could Nanapult, I'd be able to do this, lol.

3. OMG I LOVE his Bair. I enjoy using the hitbox in front of him to combo and the back foot hitbox to KO. Front-hitbox sends opponents at a better trajectory, I think, than Nair. I dunno, I don't Nair that often honestly. Bair is hot stuff.

4. I SUCK at sheild-pressure Pillar, which is why I usually shine-grab if I see my opponent sheilding me. Fthrow is usually my follow-up.

5. Is it just me or is Dtilt ABSURDLY powerful? O_O That move HURTS.

6. I can't seem to survive very long sometimes. Against a sheik, getting slapped at about 70% almost always guarantees a KO. >_> Maybe I just suck at DI.

Overall, Falco's pretty fun. Not as technical as Fox or IC but he's definitely more my speed when it comes to spacies.

I have that problem with Shiek as well.

And before reading this, I thought I was like the only Falco that couldn't pillar very well. I had always known that grabbing out of a shine was possible, but I could never think of when to apply it in a real fight, until No. 4

1. Yeah those things don't happen much once people effectively DI Falco combos but they're still amazing to watch ^_^.

2. Meh, it's all about rhthym. Just go into training mode and practice it for a bit, you'll get the hang of it.

3. I like nair simply because it's a sex kick and it's got more range forward than bair. But bair is definetely one of Falco's best finishers. Learn how to utilize it early.

4. Shine-throw is useful if you know that your opponent is going to break your pillar or you can't pillar consistently. However rolling opponents provide many more oppurtunities than thrown opponents so if you can do it well, pillaring becomes the shield pressure of choice.

5. It's powerful, but there are quicker horizontal finishers that are easier to get off. CC -> D-tilt when your opponent is over 100 will kill them on most stages, it's useful sometimes.

6. Falco is one of those characters where you have to be flawless. If you make one mistake against a good opponent you'll probably end up dead, and this isn't helped by his crappy recovery. Just work on working around it, once your technical consistency is solid your falco skill seems to increase by a lot.

well we can all agree shiek is a broken ***** and can die a painful death.

plus for me i dont pillar pressure i just waveshine for shield pressure just because i cant pillar pressure lol makes sense right. But hey SHL yea its broken so is every character high tier and above. but just like everything theres a way around it.

I definitely hate sheik...he have the power to stay there and fight, fight, even when I've just said "YEAH, YOU HAVE LOSE, ****ED STUPID FOOL !!!!!!"...I have to say him (her, sorry) THANKS for my last destroyed GC controller...****...

Lol, if you know how to fight a Sheik it isn't a bad fight at all.
