Beating an extremely gay metaknight

Ok so yesterday I was was at a tournament with 40+ people and ended up getting 4th place. Sadly enough I was knocked into losers by my crewmate and sent out of the tournament by a metaknight whorenado spammer. Normally I do great vs metaknight and even this same guy's metaknight seeing that I have beaten him the last 4 tournaments I have been to. Yet yesterday he was being particularly spammy with the whorenado. As you know with olimar he has very few options to beat out the whorenado once it gets going. In the startup frames you can basically knock him out of it with anything, but after that you're basically SOL.

So from what I see you have these options after the whorenado is started.

1- Up-B hits him out every time

2- Shield and try to dash grab once he moves away from you

3- If you're already in the air when he starts try to nair if you're directly above him

4- Just run and grab the edge


If any of you have tips and suggestions please feel free to add them.

if you nair into the tornado from the top, you can stop it's gayness. You have to hit it right in the middle, though.

That only works once. After that, any good metaknight will just elevate.
Dtilt also cancels an unelevated tornado.

Yeah the most consistant thing I found was that up-b will hit him every time elevated or not. Nair rarely works, but it will at times.

Why not just shield it? It doesn't do much damage to your shield, so unless the whole thing connects you should be fine. Even if he spams the whorenado I'm sure even he'll get tired of using it if you shield it every time, if not then it is the time to use up-B, grab him out of it, or anything else that can punish him for using it. He'll get the picture pretty fast.

UpB works great if they elevate. If they stay on the ground, just grab him. :/

I find it quite difficult to hit the tornado with upB every time '~'

I have tested it and up-b does hit every time.

Also after a certain point the whorenado becomes unblockable. Such as if he short hop down airs then does tornado your shield isn't really going to cover you. Plus seriously this guy doesn't get tired of the tornado. It's like his thumb is glued to the b button.
