I need some help, my friend who plays Peach, Doc, Young Link, Ganondorf, and Marth. The problem here is that he doesn't use any advance techs. He can sometimes L-cancel, but nothing otherwise. It's really getting under my skin... I need a way to beat him. He is able to set up combos, and I need a way to play a better Falcon and Samus. This is demanding, I know. But just some general tips when facing these characters would be great.

Thanks!

falcon isnt a char id recommend for fast easy ownage.
use samus and use alot of CC - crouch cancel.
hold down when he is about to hit you. absorb the hit and then hit down with the cstick.
it would probably work better with peach.

If hes a n00b then be n00b against him
Down Smash
Run around
roll a lot

if that doesnt work then just be defensive
n00bs suck in general so it shouldent be hard

Where you'd least suspect. That's right you know.
Wanna play a better Falcon? Read AngeloBangelo's guide. Great if your just starting to delve into advanced techs, regardless of that one thread that guy started.

Wanna play a better Samus? Go to the Samus boards. They'll have a similar guide for you.

To accurately write a full-fledged strategy against all the characters you listed, one would have to type an essay's worth of content. Sorry to tell you, but no one is going to take the time to do that other than the aforementioned guides . After you get through those if you still have problems with specific things (like spamming) come back and you should be able to get more help.

He spams down smash with peach and the turnips, too... So it wouldn't be advised to c-cancel with either characters.

A friend of mine only can beat me with spotdodgers and crouch cancelers (like Peach or Samus) because he doesn't have the technical skill to keep up at me. So he prefers defensive skills and DI over quick attacks.

At first I got frustrated very often, the problem is that Falcon doesn't have any ranged of high priority moves, and they can capitalize on your missed techs and your poor comeback move. For Peach, mixing spaced nairs with dairs mess their spotdoge. You can grab turnips with Z in the air, and throw them back. Don't try to crouch cancel a Peach dsmash or you are gonna be ***** really bad. Lightshield when you can't avoid a dsmash to get pushed away.

But you should comment more about that friend of yours pattern, to give more especific tips.

GenG! That's exactly what he does! He also spams down smash and turnips with Peach and the regular thunder jab with Ganon. But I have good news! I can beat his other characters, just not the Ganon and Peach, I guess I finally stopped messing around and focused, it's amazing what you can do when you realize that...

Oh and he has a nasty habit of doing his dash attacks with Peach and Dr. Mario... I try to shield grab, but it won't let me :(

For dash attacks, hop out of your shield w/ nair, it's a very good punisher for that but you'll generally end up getting the crotch hits not the good tip hits so less combos.

Stomp is your buddy here in general actually. Don't approach much just space run around and shield alot, and throw out alot of shieldhop stomps and nairs, and basically just mindgame.

Falcon sucks against spotdodging in general but w/ patience and alot of shielding you basically get around the gayness of it.

if he just spams attacks like Down smash with peach and jab with Ganon then why don't you just make him come to you?
if he dash attacks just wait for him
put up your sheild and sheild grab
it shouldent be hard

Thanks guys! I beat all of his characters, except Peach. She's a tough one. I did get her down to 1 life. Otherwise, I just picked up all his characters, and nearly won XD Just goes to show, the tactics you learn with everyone, can be used with everyone. Stuff like dash dancing and L-canceling, I mean. Thanks again and I swear I will conquer him!
