The Bayou Beatdown Series is a monthly event that features the most popular competitive games around. It brings together both pro and amateur gamers to compete for glory and, of course, prize money. This event series rotates through fighting games, first-person shooters, sports games, and more. As always Bayou Beatdown will be livestreamed on Twitch.tv

This month's Bayou Beatdown is all about fighting. Compete in Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Each game will have a pot bonus of $1,000 on top of the pool of entry fees, all of which go back to winners.

We will be looking for gamers to bring setups for Super Smash Bros. Melee, and if you are the first of approximately 10 to bring a viable setup, we'll refund $10 off your entry fee at the end of the Melee tournament (but if you get salty and leave early, no refund will be issued). Free play setups are also welcome (though no discount will be provided), but please note that space will be limited. We'll have food vendors onsite all day so you won't go hungry (cash and credit accepted).

If you have any questions, please refer to our Facebook page or email holler@igl.gg

Is there a Code of Conduct I should read before attending?

Yes, there is a Code of Conduct that governs all IGL events, you can find it here: igl.gg/policies

To put things simply... Be nice, treat others with respect, and while a certain amount of "saltiness" is acceptable you need to remember that at the end of the day it's important to show respect for the sport and your fellow competitors.

If for any reason you feel that the Code of Conduct is being ignored by someone at our event, find an event organizer and report the incident. If you feel that your safety or security is at risk, head to Registration and/or call - immediately.
