Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie for the XBLA
Well, since both games have been announced for the XBLA, Banjo-Kazooie being the one worked on at the moment, set for release late october-early november, I thought a thread singling both out was necessary.
First off, as most of you are aware, Stop N' Swop is going to be fully functional in B&K, and will work with N&B, and probably Tooie as well, as was it's proposed original function.
What is Stop 'N Swop? some of you may ask? Well, Stop 'N Swop was a feature originally planned to be in the N64 version of B&K, which, upon the collection of certain secret items, would allow cross-cartridge functionility between B&K and BT.
However, something was up, and the N64 wouldn't work correctly with this function (Or, some other reason, but I think it was because of the n64's limits. ) so they had to scrap it, but they didn't do so completely.
In B&K, by putting in certain combinations of letters in the Treasure Trove Cove sandcastle, you can open up other areas of the game (Raise Sharkbait Island, allowing you to enter the cave mumbo showed you at the end of the game, open up that mysterious door in Gobi's valley, open up the nailed-up wine cask in Mad Monster Mansion, etc. etc. And lets not forget, the ever-elusive Ice Key.
I think it'll be very interesting to finally see this "new" addition to the classic game in action (maybe an achievement for collecting all oof the secret items, perhaps?
Also, I'd like to discuss something they might do with Tooie, as a result of no longer being limited by the N64 (I loved the N64, don't get me wrong)
In Tooie's Beta, there was a mode called Bottle's Revenge, in which the player would play the game normally, while being followed by a Devil Bottles (Since he died) and bottles (Would be controlled by the 2nd controller in this case) could possess any enemy in the area(excluding bosses I believe) and use it to attack Banjo.
A bit of added danger, all in good fun.
Example of Bottle's Revenge here -

(Bottle's revenge mode was apparently also accesible using a gameshark, and it's available as a code in the Banjo-Tooie ROM, in a project 64 emulator (Not that you have to admit to using an emulated version if you do)
So, I think it may be possible for Rare to ressurect this idea and use it in the XBLA version of Tooie, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
Thoughts?
Also, why don't we also use this thread as a hub for ideas about the specific achievements given to both games, XBLA games have 12 achievements each, so lets choose wisely
