Here I would like to open general discussion of Banjo and Kazooie, relating to their inclusion/exclusion in Brawl, and, assuming inclusion, possible movesets, items, stages and your everyday Brawl banter. I'll start with a bio.

Banjo is a rare anthropomorphic brown honey bear who is one of the two main characters of the series. He is always seen wearing yellow shorts with a belt, a shark tooth necklace, and a bright blue backpack. The backpack usually contains his good friend Kazooie, though she was absent from it in Banjo's first appearance in a game, Diddy Kong Racing. Kazooie "adopted" Banjo some time ago, and the trouble that she attracts usually ends up coming for Banjo as well. Banjo also has a younger sister named Tooty. Banjo is also mainly responsible to what happens to Tooty. All three live at the base of Spiral Mountain on the Isle o' Hags. He can also play his namesake instrument.

Kazooie is a rare Red Crested Breegull. She is one of the two title characters in the series. At the beginning of the first game, she resides in Banjo's backpack, in his home in Spiral Mountain. Throughout the game, she remains inside his backpack, except in the second game, Banjo-Tooie, where she can split with Banjo and go adventuring on her own, and also in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge for the Game Boy Advance, at the start of which she is kidnapped, leaving Banjo to complete the game's first level unaided.

Unlike Banjo, who is calm and mild-mannered, Kazooie is much more impulsive. She tends to argue frequently with Bottles the Shortsighted Mole and other side characters, and gives sarcastic commentary about the events of the game. Indeed, it tends to be Kazooie's sharp tongue that gets the duo into a lot of fights and overall sticky situations, much to Banjo's dismay.

Kazooie's attacks consist mainly of a wide variety of eggs she can launch at enemies, though she can also use her strong beak to attack on occasion. One of the more useful abilities she's granted in Banjo-Tooie is the ability to transform into a dragon, granting her increased strength in her attacks, as well as fire breath to replace her peck attack and an unlimited supply of Fire Eggs. She can also play her Kazoo.

The duo is due to appear in their fifth game together, featuring a very updated cubists look, for the 360.

Banjo would be an awesome character for Brawl, but Microsoft will probably make Rare ruin him in the new Banjo by adding adult themes. (Basically pulling a Conker on Banjo)

I never found out the full story of conker, though as far as I can tell, the original team from the first two games has full control of BK3. In the very least, judging from the trailer, it's going to be funnier than ever.

The way I see it, Banjo has just as many good chances of being in as his bad ones, first and foremost being Microsoft itself. Microsoft is generally greedy and manipulative, and they want all of the glory of Banjo Kazzoie for themselves, as well as all of Rare's characters, now they own them. However, this same reason can prove to favor their inclusion, since it will more or less be free publicity for the new game if they were to let Nintendo borrow them. And in all respects, there is no reason not too. All of their appearances have been on a Nintendo system, and before they were bought out almost all of Rares games were Nintendo exclusive anyways.
