Balanced Brawl textures?

Sorry for the (seemingly) dumb question, but I can't figure out how to get character texture mods to work for balanced brawl. On the BB download page, it says to just put them on the SD card. I have tried several locations, and none of them seem to work. Any help would be appreciated

I believe that the textures that come with Balanced Brawl are simply the original textures. They're just on the SD card to reduce the loading time upon transformation (you'll notice that they only included textures for characters that transform).

What they mean is, use the standard procedure for adding textures. It can be found in the custom content stickies IIRC.
