Balanced Brawl (No Homebrew) Help

When I attempt to load BB through the custom stage screen, I get to the point of it saying "Now Loading..." in the bottom right hand corner, but then the screen goes black right before going into the next screen. What might be my problem and how can I fix it?

So, you click on the "stage builder" icon on the main menu, then the screen goes black and nothing happens?
