Bad thing?

Man, I keep trying to get good with mario because I like mario.

But im naturally good with Lucas. Is this a bad thing?

I keep hearing reported cases of Lucas getting ***** in tourneys and D3 crap.

It's never bad to be good at a character that isn't your main. If you like him, develop him. If not, don't.

I went through this too. When I first got the game I wanted to try out the new Mother character, and I loved his style. Was refreshing coming from Ness in Melee. Then I tried D3 and went away from Lucas. All my friends insisted that my Lucas was better, but I kept going at D3. I messed around with a lot of characters, but when it came down to it I accepted that I was best as Lucas and kept going at it.

Victory is a good thing. If you HEAR about Lucas getting *****, make those stories fake. Just win. Why would he get owned? The deathgrab is a myth.

I've yet to get chaingrabbed in a tourney. I don't know if that's their choice or I'm just good at spacing. Regardless, it isn't impossible to evade those tactics so go in with guns blazin'.

I chain-pummeled a Lucas in a tournament once using Snake. It was both hilarious and awful. It wasn't exactly a 0-death like what Marth is capable of, but it was still nasty.

I haven't been chained using Lucas so far in tournies. I'm really careful when I pick Lucas.

****it I am tired of people hating on Lucas (and Ness) because of the death grab. It's NOT THAT BAD and is COMPLETLY ESCAPABLE for everyone BUT Marth.

Anyways, picking up Lucas can in no way be a bad thing. Also, what's your problem with D3? Im pretty sure he only has an infinite against a wall and the chaingrab shouldnt worry you with Lucas since he can do it to nearly everyone.

The D3 chain grab doesn't instantly destroy your game. It just deals some damage and dumps you off at the edge of the stage (beware of walk-offs though).

If you have CG paranoia, Zelda is the heaviest character who is light enough not to be D3 CG'd.
