I don't know about all of you, or some for that matter. I feel like all of the characters, including the heavy characters, are WAY too floaty. I mean, it's like there's half the gravity and fall speed there was in previous titles. The floaty aspect even allows me to uptilt with Mario like.... 5+ times before people DI out of it. I think it's a REALLY flawed mechanic in the game. Had the fall speeds been increased ever so slightly, I believe that chase games and combo potential would be more realistic (outside of Zero Suit). I'm really regretting buying this game for a few reasons. I don't know if you guys like this mechanic or whatever but I am more used to the Melee and PM atmosphere where you were rewarded for your punish game, tech and followups..... not rewarded for pressing Up and A 5 times.... what do you guys think about it?

Well, the issue of being able to chain uptilts with Mario isn't because of floatiness, but the removal of SDI.

And, to be honest, there's no way Smash 4 is floatier than Brawl was, especially with fastfalls making characters drop like bricks. But that's aside from the point.

You're free to dislike the game if it's too floaty for you, and you don't have to keep playing it, especially if there are others that you prefer. Every game will continue to have it's own community. I personally really like Smash 4, and even if I see some problems with the game mechanics, no Smash game is exempt from that.

In short, if you don't like it, don't play it. Find the Smash game that suits you best and play it with the other people that like it. There are communities for every player. :)

This is a horrible way to speak if you're attempting to make a point.

The heavier characters are a little floaty, I will admit, but it's not really a huge problem to me. I don't really see it as a bad mechanic, just a different one.
