Background.png Not Showing Up

I've downloaded project m (backless-full set) several times and I get all the necessary files except Background.png, which I here is necessary to play the game. Right now it keeps on reloading Brawl for some reason. I have the correct SD card and all the right files rooted. Can you please help?

BG.png isn't necessary to play the game. That's just an image file for people who boot with gecko.

then why doesn't it work then? I formatted it several times, reinstalled it several times, looked at several troubleshooting guides, and it seems to be the only piece of the puzzle thats missing.

Xermo is correct it isn't necessary. Is your SD card locked? Is it 2gb or less non SDHC card?

If it's locked then it wont work..

It must be under 2gb for hackless.
