He could be another Yoshi character since he has appeared in Yoshi games on Yoshi's back.

Wouldn't he be a worse Mario?
Nope, He would have completely different moves.

What moves would he have?
Standard Special - Baby Hammer
(based off of the hammer from Partner's in Time)
Side Special - Mario Kart
Up Special - Floating Bubble
(Like in the Yoshi Games where he cries in a bubble)
Down Special - Roll

I support, But I actually made a baby Bros topic a while back. Although in the Smash for era, I did get away with have Baby Mario as his own topic separate from the Baby Bros

I think we could have various baby mario characters with baby luigi, peach, daisy, and rosalina, etc. Alts, and have them be like semi clones or echoes of the koopalings but instead of mini clown copters they have busy buggys like in the mario kart games! It would be so cute! (·^_^·)

I'm surprised this isn't a majorly supported option despite it seems very close to Nintendo's tendency and taste. I'm not a big fan of alteregos but babies seem to be a very good option to represent the Yoshi franchise. At least for now I cannot come up with an iconic baby character from other 1st/3rd party franchises to compete with Baby Mario.

I agree if babies don't vary too much in moves, it'd be nice to at least count Luigi, Peach and Daisy in alts.
