Are there any strategies specific to Mario that could be recommended for this set-up? I know about Auto-RAR and Rec. Specials. Any tips would be appreciated.

Mario's best wavebounces (Yes I still call it that, for personal reasons) are with the cape and fireballs. The most useful of Mario wavebounces is with the cape which acts as a long disjointed hitbox that also spaces you away from opponents; a wavebounced cape helps prevent being punished for using the cape offensively (The cape basically becomes an useful, offensive aerial with a disjointed hitbox when wavebounced).

The Fireballs’ wavebounce isn’t all that useful, but you can come up with some interesting zigzag patterns using it.

*You can wavebounce without B-sticking but it's significantly harder*

Pros of B-sticking:

*Easier wavebouncing*

*Easier to control Up B*

*Auto-RAR*

Cons of B-sticking:

*Harder to use smash attacks (Very important when using the stutter step)*

*Harder to DI during aerials*

*Harder to buffer attacks*
