So I came into Project: M with a Melee background and had to learn the new Brawl tricks. While I understand the mechanics of most of the new features, one that I'm still unsure about is B-reverse/wavebounce. This mechanic is useful to many characters including Captain Falcon, Wolf, Diddy, Sheik, Zelda, Ness, and others, and I want to know how exactly it works.
I can do them, but with some characters (like Zelda) I can't get a consistently noticeable shift in momentum. It's rather obvious when you do it with Falcon or Wolf, but in Zelda's case it seems difficult to get a solid reversal with Naryu's Love (and the Love Jump technique I feel is somewhat dependent on this mechanic).
Does anyone know how it works, as in what the proper input is, how the inputs affect momentum and what underlying mechanic is actually at play?
