^B > Chaingrab?

Ok In a different post I heard someone talking about how D3 rarely tries to chaingrab him because samus ^B has priority over it.. Can anyone explain how this works? Is the up B done as the d3 grabs you, while your grabbed, orrr?

I think it's done as he's comming to grab you, to lock him in the ^B, or at the very least give yourself a better chance at getting away.

I was under the impression that Dedede had a true infinite grab on Samus, and the the chaingrab is in fact a true chaingrab on her. This means that she can't UpB out of it once she's caught, unless D3 messes up.

D3 does have an infinite on her for sure.

But my buddy who claims he can CG well was trying it on me and I was able to ^B out of it each time. This was on wifi though, so his timing may have been skewed.

samus and marth have some immunity frames in their UPB, so that makes chaingrab (and tons of other moves) useless, and worthless if someone become an frame expert

'Sept both char's ^B's leave them pretty open to attack.

It rarely leaves Samus open if she succeeds in hitting them with it (which is likely if they are in close enough to try and grab). I get frustrated that I can't fastfall after the screw attack, but - if you have time to use it - it still works to break things combos.
