Avoiding the Falco Spike

When I play with a friend of mine we normally have pretty solid matches, the only thing is, he guards the edge well with his falco spike. I play fox and everytime i do my fire fox or my side B (forgot its name) i cant get on without getting blasted to the floor with his spike. ive tryed going above him, below him, hitting him and it doesnt work. how can i get around?

Hug the edge with your firefox and walltech the spike. Press L or R 20 frames before being hit by the DAir and you'll walltech.
