Hi, pretty new to the site so I don't know if this is the right forum, but here goes.

I'm an Aussie player, and like most Aussies I'm experiencing some pretty nasty lag when playing online. Every game I play, my attacks trigger about 0.5 seconds after the button is pressed. In Brawl my attacks were on point. Are there any other Aussies that have experienced this issue, and is there a way around it?

It's P2P so lag issues are either your connection, your opponents connection, and/or your opponents location. you could be lagging because there's no available opponents close to you.

I'm Australian and I'm experiencing very little lag unless its someone with a name in English.
maybe it's just your connection?

I'm Australian and my For Glory connection sucks, but it's not because I'm Australian; it's my connection. :p I literally sat next to a friend of mine, connected to his game via WiFi and experienced a second of input lag. It has pretty much everything to do with your and your opponents' connection qualities.

When playing online in Brawl, I had terrible input lag every single time I played, regardless of my opponent's location. However, in Smash 3DS, it's near-faultless 95% of the time. I've played over 1000 1v1 battles online against people in a variety of locations over the world, and I have no immediate complaints with how most of the matches turned out technically. Of course, free-for-alls are a different story, I choose to ignore that.

I don't have any advice but I wish the best of luck towards anybody experiencing bad issues.

I seem to constantly get matched against players in Japan and have massive lag here in NZ. The connection is smooth but there's like half a second of latency.
