ATTENTION ALL SOUTHERN ONTARIO MELEE PLAYERS upcoming tournament on february 23rd

There is going to be a Melee tournament held at Mccabes Irish pub (352 King Street West) in downtown Kitchener, Ontario.
Date: Sunday February 23rd

Cost of admission: $5


SPONSORS: Games Exchange, Mccabes Irish Pub

Players of all skill levels welcome! There will be an Advanced tournament, and a beginners tournament after the Advanced tournament is over.

Time:
Signups: 12pm-12:30pm
Pools: ~12:30pm
Pools will be offset, allowing the first groupings to play, while the rest get food, and switching roles after the first set of pools are complete.


Prizing:
1st: $100 + 50% cash pot
2nd: 30% cash pot
3rd: 20% cash pot


BEGINNER TIER:

No Entry Fee
Please only enter if you truly are beginner. Be fair to new players.
Time:
Signups: 5:30pm
Tournament: 6pm

Prizing: $50 in Gift Certificates


RULES FOR BOTH TIERS:

Pools and first rounds will be 4 stock, 8 minutes, best 2 of 3.

Finals will be 4 stock, 8 minutes, best 3 out of 5.

- Yoshi's story
- Final Destination
- Battlefield
- Dreamland
- Fountain of dreams

Counter Picks
- Pokemon Stadium

Loser can switch character between rounds, winner must stay the same.
