Attempting to start a Brawl+ online tournament

Need to see what other B+ers think of the ruleset. Mostly my stage selection.


Singles Rule Set
- 4 Stock
- Stock Time Limit : 8:00
- Items turned to OFF and NONE
- 2/3 Elimination
- Neutral Stages,alone, will be allowed in random select.
- In a either set, the stage selection will be: Random, Loser, Loser.
- Grand Finals will be 3/5 elimination.
- Stall Tactics are banned
- Buffer will be decided by the players themselves

Neutral Stages
- Final Destination
- Battle Field
- Yoshi's Island (Brawl)
- Pokemon Stadium 2
- Smashville
- Luigi's Mansion

Counter-Pick Stages
- Wario Ware (Banned in Doubles)
- Pokemon Stadium (Melee)
- Lylat Cruise
- Frigate Orpheon
- Delfino Plaza
- Brinstar (Banned in doubles)
- Corneria
- Rainbow Cruise

- Green Greens *To be debated*
- Jungle Japes *To be debated*
- Castle Siege *To Be Debated*
- Halberd *To be debated*

All other stages are presumed as banned.

edit: Ban spear pillar, it's frozen, so you can plank pretty easily.

For online games, each player's buffer *HAS* to be the same for a given game, or the two players will desync. Make sure you make a note of that.

Also, spear pillar still needs to be banned for singles, becuase it has the giant loop even without the stage hazards.

I thought you could have different buffers.

I just meant buffers would be decided on the group playing. We might just need to say a default. And, Spear Pillar will be banned for both sides. I haven't had as much experience on that one. What's the opinion on the optional CPs though?

I see nothing wrong with Halberd. Japes and Green Greens can stay banned, though. Castle Seige can go either way.

Halberd and Castle Siege is a legit CP imo. Spear pillar has to go

As a peach player jungle japes should stay. Especially since they made one of her best cp a neutral(pkmn stadium 2)
