Attacking people who air camp/sit on top platforms in Melee and Project M

I seem to have this problem in the two games I play mentioned above where I can't seem to get to people who decide to jump camp in the ways I listed. For example, against a Falco in Melee or a Snake in Project M (all the while, Snake is also dropping a ridiculous amount of explosives on me and he also seems to live insanely long) who decides to sit on the top platform, just using their first jump over and over and not coming down until I decide to come up to the platform, at which point they double jump and come down on me with a down air which, for Snake and Falco seems very, very safe on shield. When they do (or even don't) have a lead, what am I supposed to do? I really can't seem to find a way to get to them without putting myself in a really bad position.

Also, against Dedede in Project M, because he has four midair jumps, it seems like he can just air camp and then decide when he wants to come down but if I try to go up and hit him with an aerial, he can just jump away and out range me with his huge hammer no matter which character I use and it also really doesn't help that he's so fat he lives forever which is just really annoying no matter which character I play as that I use.

Advice, por favor?

first off snake's dair is **** on shield, second bait them out and punish, third falco's aerials seem safe cause they actually are, fourth force ddd to shield and edgeguard him well, keep snake in the air, he has very few options if he's above you, what region are you from by the way? Honestly just play against people who use those characters alot, you'll figure it out with practice

I'm from South/Central Florida. We don't have many Dedede players here, but I just really find it annoying how he lives forever and he has three midair jumps and an Up-B and most of his attacks seem so safe on shield because of his hammer meanwhile I can't even touch him because his grab range is so dang stupid. Like what the heck is with that? We do have a few Snakes and I can safely say he is one of my most frustrating matchups.

Is snake's down air really not safe on shield? IT really seem like it is from my experience. What is they cross me up with it and I'm on a top platform? And how am I supposed to keep Snake in the air when he can just hold grenades and drop C4 on me all day while he's up there?

Also, I just don't know how to get Falco down from the platform as Sheik. As Marth, I have my sword so it doesn't matter as much but I don't know what to do against it as Sheik and I'm sure as heck not gonna approach Falco from below on a platform.

If you do it correctly you can roll before the second hit of dair even comes out, his best aerial on shield is up air which is -1 if you l-cancel the frame after you hit their shield, the best attack he has on shield is up-b which was +5 last time I checked

Really? Huh, didn't know that. What would your advice be if I get stuck with the C4 or when he down throws me and I'm forced onto the ground? Or what about Up throw to C4 stick? Can that be DI'd out of to avoid it?

for d-throw hold a direction, preferably away, and it will buffer the roll, both characters can act at the same time so make him read you, personally I don't use u-throw c4 but I'm pretty sure it's character dependent on what you can do, for example dk can't avoid it even if he rolls
