Assist Trophies, My Music, and Cds, Oh My...

Sakurai seems to be quickly developing new and more interactive replacements for the old Trophies. I enjoyed earning them all, but after you have read the blurb ten times they lose their novelty; you can't do anything with them.

Assist Trophies seems to be a solution to the dull trophies of the past. Don't just look at all those obscure video games characters; animate them into the Brawl! The collectible Cds to expand your "My Music" features also feature a new level of interactivity. Personally I place music on a high pedestal - it can set the perfect ambiance or completely ruin a would-be mesmerizing world. Not only can you adjust what music appears when, but Sakurai has made it a collectible item you have to work for. Being able to listen to the music after picking it up seems to be a better option than picking up a trophy and looking at it.

Now that these new items are being introduced, I wonder about the fate of the old trophies. Will Assists take their place or supplement them? Will they be present at all? If they are, what kinds of new interactivity will they feature to keep up with the rest? If they aren't, will they be replaced by something yet to be revealed?

I am in favor of their return with added functionality. More sort options would be welcome as well as the ability to physically arrange them on your desk; the wii-mote would make this task simple. Or how about being able to display your favorite 5-10 trophies in an online profile to prove your Brawling skill or show off your favorite genre or characters?

I'd like to hear everyone's opinions and ideas on the matter.

If they do have collectible trophies in Brawl, they'll probably be pretty much the same as in Melee. If you remember, they added Stickers as a more interactive alternative to Trophies.

They might do trophies in the same way as cds. You collect them and they unlock assist trophies as well as a bio screen. Also they might add Pokemon, bosses, and main characters to the trophy list. That way they don't have to take much time in making them as the characters are already made. What would you guys think of that?(personally I liked trophies, it's the collecting and unlocking aspect. I like Youko said about hosting trophy battles over wifi {playing a match to win a trophy})

I actually prefer stickers over trophies, cos a 3D graphic is bigger than a 2D image based on datasize, allowing for many, many more stickers than there could ever be trophies in the game.

Stickers would only be cool if you could possibly print them out someway.
