Heavy characters can carry more itemsConsidering that Custom Moves / Equipment can be used in Smash Run and that wasn't decided yet if it will be allowed in normal matches (and I think it won't), there will be different tiers for both modes.
Smash Run probably will have speed/strong (that carry more itens) characters in higher tiers.
I meant speed AND heavy characters. Sorry for that. I'll edit my post.Heavy characters can carry more items
Heavy characters are never quick...
First one who comes to my mind is Samus tbhI meant speed AND heavy characters. Sorry for that. I'll edit my post.
Some characters will have less problems getting those stat boosts though...I don't think a cohesive tier list could be made for Smash Run because the outcome of stat power-ups will always be different. Literally the worst character in the game could be made into a powerhouse with the right stat boosts.
Basically this.I don't think Smash Run will have a tier list,at least not an official one since it's not going to be a competitive mode. Obviously they will be vastly different if anyone ever makes a Smash Run tier list.
Sigh...I guess I wasn't able to express myself.First one who comes to my mind is Samus tbh
She's not slow af like Bowser and Donkey Kong
But she can still carry stuff
Some characters will have less problems getting those stat boosts though...
Probably, but knowing the smash community, a tier for this mode will show up eventually, even it being a fun mode.I don't think a cohesive tier list could be made for Smash Run because the outcome of stat power-ups will always be different. Literally the worst character in the game could be made into a powerhouse with the right stat boosts.
Agreed. Too much RNG to base a tier on.I don't think a cohesive tier list could be made for Smash Run because the outcome of stat power-ups will always be different. Literally the worst character in the game could be made into a powerhouse with the right stat boosts.
OhhhhSigh...I guess I wasn't able to express myself.
I meant both type of characters. Not one character that shares both of stats. Characters like Bowser(strong) and Sonic(speed) will probably be in the tier.
Those characters will focus on the stats that they have less and will quickly get ahead.
English is not my native language, sorry again.
If this is the case then the tier list will be based around the characters who have the best options to get the most powerups on average.I don't think a cohesive tier list could be made for Smash Run because the outcome of stat power-ups will always be different. Literally the worst character in the game could be made into a powerhouse with the right stat boosts.
Tournaments will happen because anyone with a bit of spare time could set up an online one at least, but if you think that anything besides standardized no items play is going to really catch on competitively you're setting yourself up for disappointment. It's funny people claiming Smash Run not to be competitive mode even though the game wasn't even released yet.
It is even funnier when you realize we are in a Smash Bros-related forum.
Anyway, if Smash Run tournaments happen in the future (and I really hope they will), it is very likely that a tier list will be created.
This was my brother's gut reaction to Shulk's trailer. He said, "With Monado Speed and Jump, he's going to dominate Smash Run," seconds after the trailer ended.I'm calling it: shulk is god tier
He can can change to jump, speed and power (3 different end games, all three with different needs)
