Are there unofficial teams in For Fun Smash?

Every game I've played in it has the same things: 2 people teaming up and not attacking one another, and a third just AFKing in a corner somewhere.

Is this a thing now? I don't get it. Can you even queue up with other people? I thought you couldn't which is what makes this really bizarre to me.

edit: just joined another lobby, and it was 3 Kid Icarus characters, all chasing me

I will never understand it either, it was the same in brawl, someone would not do anything but shield and run if you try and attack them, i heard brawl had bots just for trolling but id be suprised if that was the case for sm4sh already O_O
