are there gonna be platforms on poke stadium?

as you can see from this pic, there are no platforms in sight. as you can also see from this pic, there is another stadium in the background (just a fun fact).

as you can also conclude from this pic, the character are in the middle of the stage as indicated with the pokeball underneath them.

still no platforms. could we infer that pokemon stadium will become the smaller version of fd?

The picture is too close. I'm pretty sure if it was zoomed out, you could see the two platforms. Like you said, the picture is taken at the middle of the stage. The two platforms are located further left/right.

Watch the second trailer, Mario and Pika are underneath a platform when Wario appears.

if you watch the trailer with fox, they show, three times, pokemon stadium with platforms.

1. when mario and pikachu are walking away and wario appears, above mario and pikachu is a platform.
2. when pit is attacking metaknight he jumps and hits him by a platform.
3. snake does a kick and above him is a platform.

you are right though they don't show platforms in that pic. mabey the platforms go into the stage part time then come back out. who knows?
