Are there any CSPs without the additional icons?

I'm honestly not a huge fan of how it says "Color" and "Special" along with the warning signs on the CSPs. I have all of my older CSPs that I plan on adding back in, but then I realized that a lot of the new costumes plus Roy and Mewtwo will still have those weird icons when the other characters won't, which would look kind of odd. I was wondering if anyone has the CSPs for the alt costumes, Roy, and Mewtwo without the extra stuff going on in their CSPs, so that way, everyone's portrait will look consistent. If you do have them, please post them here, and thanks in advance!

Project M > Pf > Menu > Common > char_bust_tex

The pictures in this area are the same size as the ones in the CSP, but they don't have the color/special words. You'll have to do the extraction yourself, but you already do have them because of this.

Really? That helps a ton! :happysheep:

I'll try to extract the files when I get back home and see if it works out. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tip, man.

I can confirm this works out well. However, several characters are not covered by this method. You can take the missing CSPs from a 2.6b common5.pac to fill in the gaps. I just finished extracting CSPs for all the characters, and there is but a single flaw: the dark color for Pit. It's been slightly changed for 3.0, but you could probably overlook it if you used the old one, or just fix it up in photoshop. Also, the warning icons are still present, but they don't hurt consistency with custom textures near as much.

If anyone wants to save the ~20 minutes it takes to extract all these, PM me and I can possibly share mine.

Can you please PM the CSPs to me? It would be great to have the CSPs as soon as I get back home instead of spending time trying to do it myself in a few hours. :)

This would be awesome. Though I'm not a huge fan of vBrawl's portraits, I'll have no choice but to use them until SJS updates all of his portraits for 3.0 eventually. I just really do not like the color coding system being on each individual portrait. The idea behind it is actually very clever, but if it can't be implemented in a more conventional way, it should just go altogether. I also understand why some of the portraits are really bad in terms of quality, as a way of compensating for not exceeding the file size with Mewtwo, Roy, and additional costume slots.

Awesome stuff. I think I'll keep the warning signs on for now, until I can assess whether or not I can notice any lag with combinations of 4 of them playing at once. I didn't with one try, but who knows.

Incidentally, I have a common5.pac with just the color coding scheme removed, safely tucked away and uploaded. Warning signs are still there, but there are no additional edits to the file, so it's a good place to start if you don't want to spend half an hour swapping them in. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p7sce3t190tob3k/n3TXB9ZT89

But that's all you get from me. Don't come tugging my shirt sleeves when you find you want moar

Because I love you guys, I used Photoshop and fixed up all of the CSPs (even Dark Pit) and took away any of the warning signs or other things. They look a lot better now!

Here's all of the CSPs:

I liked a lot of those alt images, but wasn't a big fan of the caution icons. I managed to fix up Doc by myself, but for the ones like Link where the icon was imposed on top of the actual image, I was at a loss for what to do. (I don't have Photoshop or anything good like that) For the stuff like Link, I was going to use SJS's new pics, but the pose seemed really hard to differentiate from the Twilight Princess Link, so the fact that you made it so that I could freely use the new OOT Link image again makes me really happy.

Good job mate.
