Are the online servers working properly right now?

I took a break from smash for about two weeks due to various things, and yesterday I tried to go online to play For Glory. I kept getting errors when attempting to connect to the network, but I did get through to a game once, but then in the middle of the match it started lagging really badly, and then I got kicked out in the middle of the match due to communication error.
Today I tried again just now. I connected, got into a match with no lag, and then halfway through, it freezes, and then exits with a communication error. And when I try to connect to the network again, I keep getting errors.

I'm just wondering if this is a problem with nintendo's servers right now, or is it more likely on my end? I haven't noticed any issues with any of my other online activities though.

This is my 3rd day trying to get online to play, and it keeps kicking me out mid game. I can't even get through a single game before it happens.
I've been able to get on other games like team fortress 2 and play online for an hour with no issues. I have no idea what could be wrong.

It's always laggy. I havn't played a single match without lag... I guess most of the time people I play are from another country...

This is less of Nintendo's servers and more of how fighting games connect one and another. SSB4 uses a peer-to-peer system which means if anyone is lagging or has really bad connection, then everyone will experience lag.

Also, there have been accounts about people intentionally lagging the game. First off, that's disgusting and poor sportsmanship and two, I hope you never have to deal with that. I think I have when I won a match and the next one started to lag for no reason. There's nothing you can do about it other then hope you are connected to someone with decent connection.
