Hey guys.

I'm new to the scene and gonna try my hand at Tournament Organizing and found a lot of great guides and groups for mostly everything I need to make a tourney happen. I only have one question left. Who sponsors SB tourneys? Maybe this can be a thread where we post companies you've worked with in the past that are open to SB and for companies you're working with right now. I think this would be a great companion for other TO's wanting to take their tourneys to the next level. So share what you know.

Thanks

For small tourneys, no one sponsors them. Or I suppose the players do. Typically there's a venue fee to cover the cost of the venue. Since you're new to tournament organizing, I'd say start small like that. Hosting a good tournament will have people wanting to come back for more, and you build from there.
You may want to talk to a TO local to you, and maybe go to a few tourneys to see how it works and get some tips and ideas and such.
Can't say I'm speaking from experience, because I have zero experience with this lol. I'm just putting things together through logic and probably reiterating some things I've read before in similar threads.

I recentally held a tournament and Im pretty new myself. We paid for everything out of pocket, but some places are willing to work with you. We held a free tournament so the guys who gave us the space gave us half off as a thank you for hosting a no fee tournament. So I will most likely continue to work with those guys for awhile.

Best thing to do is to try and find a place thats comfortable in relation to how many participants you will have. My next tourney will likely have a fee at the door to cover prizes and venue costs.
