The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF is a launch event and celebration of the new game release hosted by AON Gaming for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Featuring a 72-hour venue, never-ending side brackets, and many of the east coast's most talented players, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF is sure to be an event you wont want to miss out on!
When is the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF?
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF starts on Thursday, December 6th at 11:59 PM. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, we'll begin the festivities! We'll be playing Ultimate all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until midnight.
What's the schedule for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF? What events take place first?
Doors Open: 12:01 AM on Friday, December 7th. Doors Close: 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 9th. Events will be constantly firing off on-demand in 8-man and 16-man brackets throughout the entire event, with additional specific events to be announced in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned!
Where is the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF?
the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF takes place at AON Gaming located on Long Island, NY. The exact address is 21 Brandywine Drive Deer Park, NY 11729. This is just a short train ride from the city, as the Deer Park train station drops off a short distance from the venue.
You can find us next to the Kohls Shopping center, right near the Tanger Outlets. Brandywine Drive is directly off of Grand Blvd. We're on the left, kind of towards the middle of the block (which is a dead end). Give us a call if you need help with directions: (631)-392-1616.
What kinds of events will there be at the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate KICKOFF?
Events of all kinds will be constantly firing off on-demand in 8-man and 16-man brackets throughout the entire event, with additional specific events to be announced in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned!
What kind of controllers are legal?
All controllers that can be plugged into a Wii U Nintendo Gamecube Controller Adaptor are allowed. Additionally, Switch Pro Controllers, and Joy Cons are allowed. Controllers with turbo buttons or impossible combination macros are forbidden. If you have a question concerning the legality of your controller, please feel free to ask in the discussion section of this event page.
What's the prize?
A 100% cash payout!
Will the event be streamed?
Yes, the event will be streamed on our two stream channels: http://twitch.tv/aonstreams and http://twitch.tv/gengame.
Will you have food? Drinks?
Yes: Pizza will be available at the venue. We also have an extensive selection of snacks and drinks at our concession stand.
How does this event even work?
It's a 3-day event, and there's going to be a constant flow of events, brackets, and tournaments to enter!
Throughout the entire weekend, there will be ongoing sign-ups available for sit-and-go style brackets: once the queue of 8 or 16 players is filled, the mini-tournament begins. These "on-demand" tournaments will cost $1 or will be free to enter, and will enable constant competition with a variety of rule-sets. These will be something you can only sign up for in-person, so don't expect to find these on the smashgg ticket website.
In addition to the above on-demand tournaments, we'll have scheduled events that you can find on this ticket website: http://smash.gg/ultimatekickoff Here you can sign up for one of six Smash Ultimate "big brackets" with no limit on the number of players and a larger prize! There's also 3 Super Smash Bros Melee side events and a doubles event too. These have fixed times that you can find at the above link.
In order to enter any of these tournaments, you'll need either a 1-day pass or a 3-day pass, which you can also acquire at the smashgg link provided above. If you do so before December, you can save up to $15!
