Anything about Smash in Nintendo Direct tomorrow?

I very much doubt we'll get anything really noteworthy, and even something small is pretty unlikely (as they said this Direct is focusing on titles being released this year), but it's Nintendo so I don't think we can rule anything out completely. Though no one should be getting their hopes up.

It's pretty much the only place Nintendo reveals new games nowadays. Ofc many Directs are just them restating already known games. Which this one has a good chance of being. However maybe they have some minor title (even just something on the eShop) to reveal. Hopefully it isn't one of those Directs with absolutely no new game reveal.

As far as I know X like Smash and Mario Kart 8 is a 2014 title.

For tomorrow, I believe that we will recieve release dates for the upcoming exclusive Wii U titles, thereby confirming Target's leaked listing of dates (http://gengame.net/2013/08/new-nintendo-direct-set-for-tomorrow-august-7/). I also expect new info on Wonderful 101, Windwaker HD, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and Super Mario 3D World. We could also possibly get info. on Sonic Lost World and Mario Kart 8. DLC for Pikmin 3 may also be announced. As for 3DS, we should get new info. on Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Mario Party, and a possible recap of Mario & Luigi Dream Team. We could also get worldwide confirmation for the Pokemon X & Y special edition 3DS XL's. Lastly, the direct could finish with the unveiling of a new Smash character (please be Chrom)

I can only see that happening if the newcomer ties into one of the games being covered in the direct.

And so many of the games that seem to be likely seem like their potential reps would be revealed closer to their release date.

They'll likely talk about Luigi U. So who knows they might surprise us and confirm him as a veteran soon if the Target release date is right.

Idk... with how little games being developed I'm not sure how'll they'll add in franchises with multiple reps like Zelda, the rest of Mario, etc.

Unless they plan to just mass announce them at one point and just throw in every character that doesn't have a game before the Smash release.

That could work...

I'd rather just have them release a character once a month, or even 2 a month.
