Anyone think that Wii fit trainer's Deep breathing may be a rejected part of Shulks moveset?

The timing circle was all over Xenoblade chronicles and I think it is possible!

I can see how DB might be inspired from that. The timing of the red circle, definitely. In Wii Fit, this exercise had the player standing there taking deep breaths while that blue circle went in and out. Deep breathing while doing yoga also "enhances" results.

Which is why DB should boost all of WFT's moves and not just SS, since all her moves are yoga poses, but whatever.

I thought Deep Breathing DID improve all of her moves, not just sun salutation?

I honestly think Sakurai had this planned for her from the beginning, or he would not have included her; he must have been inspired by her early on to have something unique, or not have wanted her despite her sales. No, I do not think this has anything to do with Shulk. Yoga is entirely abut Breath.

I think it might be coincidental, though I did think initially that Wii Fit Trainer having the Deep Breathing technique did hurt Shulk's chances for inclusion; even the Wii Fit Trainer's inclusion alone did that in a way (as Wii Fit Trainer is a character who represents a Wii debuting series, much like Shulk would as a Xenoblade Chronicles representative).

I haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles so my understanding of things Shulk can do might be limited, but as far as my research goes, the only particularly unique thing I could thing of for Shulk move-set/mechanic wise is having a self-buffing move much like Wii Fit Trainer's Deep Breathing. I'd say it will have had a minor impact on Shulk's chances, though I wouldn't pin down Wii Fit Trainer or the Deep Breathing technique as the sole reason if Shulk ultimately does not get in as a playable character.
