it's getting kind of annoying how a bunch of random new people post that, "hey i live here, anyone want to play" and of course they don't have a car. i'll break it down for you:

1. 95% of smashers who play melee don't have a car
2. 90% of smashers who play melee in socal nowadays are good, much much better than you
3. the other 10% of smashers who play melee in socal don't take it seriously enough to get to that level of good
4. ergo, 100% of smashers are not going to want to go to your house to play a scrub in melee when they are either way better than you or don't care enough to drive out of their way to play someone who they don't know

the unwritten rule: if you're the worse player, you go to the person's house.

5. p is always right on smashboards. always

but for real tho, LA area is big with lots of melee players, and like P said, they're all better than you, so if you want to improve the best bet is to go to their house. im sure any smasher would be happy to play with you, even if you're way worse, if you make the effort to go to their house, and are willing to learn

sorry for pre-judging you so much, but you know how it is

or you could hold a smashfest or something. But youd have to have a real nice set up and be able to have alot of people over, or else theres no point

Um, people being to new the forums makes them new at the game? For all you know they just started going to the forums, they couldve been playing high level seriously for a few years and you wouldnt know it, don't assume.

Maybe so (probably not though), but they're still the ones who have to prove their skill to others first.

It's a reasonable assumption. Every human assumes; it's a necessary part of life. Go study heuristics. I made a totally reasonable and, more times than not, accurate assumption. If I'm wrong it's just due to the exception that proves the rule, not because my direct assumption was unfounded.

If it is unfounded, then attack its base. But it's not, so kindly stfu. :)
