Anyone has the game yet?

My friend that lives near me got 2 copies of the game and I'm sitting here crying in the corner thinking to myself "How?"...

So I was wondering how many Smashers here got the game?

Stores probably have them in stock, just broke the street date.

My job got 12 copies in and I had to receive them in. Can't sell them until 12:01am Friday. Taunting the hell outta me.

Which is what annoys me... I can't seem to find any store that sells them. The thing is my friend lives in the same city as me. I have to ask him where he got it from because I'm digging my nails into my skin just looking at the picture

Well companies don't want to break street date. If you want an early copy you probably a less than responsible friend.

A good friend of mine was supposed to be able to get me a copy early but I haven't been in contact with him. He was trying to talk to me about something on Facebook at the weekend and he seemed upset but he wouldn't respond properly, I don't know what happened.

I don't want to be all like "LOL CAN U STILL GET ME SMASH THO" when I next talk to him, so I think I might just wait until Friday like everyone else. I just got a text from my college saying that there will be no classes on Friday anyway, which means I will have all weekend to play, and I will be down at GameStop for 10:00am. I'm still a little worried about finances though.

As for how he could get it early, he works in the software department of a local toy store, and one of the perks is that he can buy games for himself as soon as the shipments arrive and at a tiny discount (which will increase when he's been there a while). Which is sometimes before street date. He already bought some games for himself over the summer before street date.

He was going to buy Smash "for himself" and just give it to me.

I also don't understand what you mean by that last line. Are you saying I'm not a responsible friend because I want an early copy....? I'm not taking it away from him I'm just asking which store he got it from.

So I called up my usual game store a few minutes ago. And he said hes getting the game in about 2 weeks.

I think I'll just stick to the release date like everyone else. Not so much left anyways.
