Anyone else suffering this problem?

Ok, recently I have been encountering VERY FEW TO NO people online, even if I do, it's the same person. This has NOT happened before and I don't get what's going on.
I have heard others say they have had this problem too.
Basically I mostly can't find anyone, it's so irritating.

For some reason now, I can all of a sudden join ANY GAMEMODE with ease, but there would be nobody on.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Am I banned or something? Please respond if this happens to you too

It doesn't happen to me, but I've heard that sort of thing happens if you've been reported. You're sent to a sort of Smash Purgatory where other reported users are. That's probably why you're going against the same person over and over.
