So my friend and I had an argument today, he wants a PS3 while I want a Wii and a 360. We both have PS2s but he has a modded Xbox. Today I told him I planned on getting a Wii [for Brawl, MP3, LoZ etc.] and a 360 [for everything else and XBL] in the future and he had a problem with it. To him it seemed like "I wanted everything" as he put it. I would have explained my choices but he's an idiot so I didn't bother.

Anyway, is it me or is he being a hypocrite? And is my wishlist really that unreasonable? Personally, I see nothing wrong with it. It's kinda funny since the same guy wants to buy a cell phone that costs $500.

Does anyone else have to deal with this problem? Bare in mind this is not a topic about games, otherwise I would have put it in the Light house, this is more of a social topic.

Wii has potential for innovative games, plus the Nintendo first-party games are usually good. As of now, it lacks hardcore games, though.

360 has some awesome shooters (Bioshock, Halo 3, Gears of War, COD4, GRAW, etc) and excellent competitive multiplayer (Xbox Live is a good service).

I am planning on doing the same as you. I don't think he's being hypocritical, but he's obviously not educated in the world of games.

It's a social topic about games. Consider it moved.

Anyway uh... no. My friends don't really get all amped up about games. Really, even I don't see the point in delving into "gaming politics". If you want to get two consoles, get 'em. Your friend sounds like a big douche if he "has a problem with it". Point out that your two consoles will cost scantly more than his one.

No Internet?!?
My friends don't really care. We all like the same things. I like Brawl the best, but that doesn't mean I can't like Xbox 360 games either. I have a Wii, but if I wanted to, I could go buy and Xbox.

We're at the age where we buy our own things. I could have a Wii, PS3 and a Xbox 360, it's my money, they couldn't care less about what I do with it.

Call him an idiot and slap him across the face. He deserves it!

The ps3 dosent have any big games coming out and it never will. Wii has brawl and xbox has halo3. Of course the ps3 has gta but what skill does that game take hmm? >_>

There's a reason we don't allow topics like this.

They dissolve into console debates.
