Anyone else cut their own hair?

I've been cutting mine for a while, and before that my dad would cut it. I've never been to an actual barber shop. It's much cheaper, and I can always cut it the way I like it, because I pretty much do the exact same thing every time. *advertisement voice* And you don't even have to leave the house! I have a few pictures, so you can decide how horrible I did.

Not many different angles to view it from.. and the quality isn't great cause it's a camera phone.. lol. Oh well.

I'm curious to know if anyone else here cuts their hair themself.

p.s. - Don't make fun of my nose! I'm self concious about it! *tears*

I've never tried to cut my own hair, and I never will.

My friend cut her own hair once, she ended up looking like a boy that got attacked by a lawnmower. My hair is long and curly, so I'm sure I would end up cutting it unevenly. The last thing I need to do is **** up my hair like my friend did.

No I don't use scissors. Just clippers. 1" on top, 1/4" on the bottom, around ears, blend into 1/2" & 3/4". Some other guards are used too I think but I don't recall which ones exactly.

And sheesh I'm sorry guys, I can't have emo hair, and I'm not metro, so I don't have much taste in style I guess. I did my best.

actually that's not a half bad job. I was expecting something with more of a...well, bowl-cut look to it . As for me, my hands are waaaay too unsteady to contemplate something like that. My grandma's normally the one to do my family's hair (she's been cutting mine for 20 years now).

Bowl-cuts are so elementary school. If you do it just right, and have it styled a certain way, I guess you can pull it off in later years, but most of the time (to me), it just looks bad, save for on younger kids I suppose.

I only trim my own hair. I hate getting haircuts, but I've never done the whole thing myself, and I'm way too big a wimp to try.

I did it once and never will do it again. When I was cutting my hair, I wound up flinching due to some dang thing that led to a cut on the head. I dunno if scissors can do some damage.

I did at one point (just last year) because I didn't feel like getting a real haircut. Instead, if I felt a part was growing out to much, I would grab a pair of scissors, grab a handfull and cut it off.

A finally got a real haircut a few months ago and the barber was horrified by my hair. She said, "Never do that again."
