im new to the forums and i cant find any posts for people that smash in the st petersburg area im not that great and im looking for people to practice with maybe give me some pointers.

St. Pete is a good 45 minutes from where I stay, but I do go there every now and then since my cousin lives there.

in tampa eh? any place where people meet weekly not like a tournament but like a group of people just for fun

Two threads with some Tampa Smashing involved.
One is for the weekend smash, the other is a tuesday night deal.

Done the tuesday one. The guys are real cool peeps.
Planning on doing the weekend smash and meeting the other guys this saturday.

i posted a reply on the tuesday night thread about wanting to go with one of my friends thanks alot man is there something i should do other than just post on the thread?

You could try [thread=70386]The Florida Thread[/thread] for more information about the scene here. For example, there's a smasher locater available which will make it easier for you to find people near you.
I'm pretty sure Zaromo goes to college in Saint Petersburg. I believe he's from Brandon though so he might be living there over the summer break.
There used to be tournaments up in Clear Water at Cutting Edge Gaming but they never really took off too successfully and i haven't heard from them in a long time so I doubt there's still any available there. You might be able to set up smash fests with the locals there though and try to get some tourneys back up & running.
Aside from that, look into the [thread=105599]Twilight Showdown 5[/thread] tournament as that's the closest one. Possibly attend some Tampa smash fests as well.
