Anybody ever think of Dragon Quest characters?

Honestly, I haven't played most of the Dragon Quest games, the one that stays fresh in my mind is DQ8.

To me it was an awesome game, and visiting Japan this summer and 2 summers ago made me realize that Dragon Quest is the most popular series in the country, more so than Mario AND Final Fantasy.

I know I've seen slime on here somewhere, but let's face it, that's impractical.

The protagonist from DQ8 would be cool, but I don't know too many other faces of Dragon Quest, does anybody else have any input? I feel like there may be a good chance of someone from the series appearing, considering their impact on Nintendo consoles in the past.

I can't see this happening. But did you know Mario & Dragon Quest characters are in one game in Japan only? I'll tell you if you don't already know.

I'm Taiwanese and I can't read Japanese, but it looked like something I would've bought.

I've only heard about it on wiki. It is called Itadaki Steet DS. It will be a mario party-ish game.

yeah but I don't see why they wouldn't put someone from DQ in brawl.

the only reason i can think not to, is because there isn't one standout character like ness or sonic or mario

The reason Sakurai can't put DQ characters and won't put them in Brawl is because
1. The Dragon Quest Franchise is owned by Square Enix
2. Square Enix isn't very Nintendo friendly, the last major games of the past 10 years that they have made have been on the Playstation and Playstation 2. True, there have been spinoffs and remakes and the originals have been on Nintendo, but the way Square Enix sees it, has seen it and probably always will, Sony's Playstation consoles is where "da moneys at".

indeed, it does suck, i am a fan of the series as well.. I have played DQ1-3 DQ 8 and DQM1-2 and will be getting DQ9 and DQM:J.

I love Dragon Quest, it's my favorite RPG series. Actually, you know, if any SE character makes it, it will be either a DQ character or Crono.

im thinking cloud..or chrono they wouldnt put DQ chars in, they're not popular enough.. remember the ssb series is about "allstars"
