Anybody else have trouble with the GameCube controller?

So like, idk why, but sometimes when I flick the C-stick, instead of a smash attack, it’ll do a jab combo which infuriates me. Same for the grab button. It’ll jab and I don’t know why. Idk if it’s because it’s either old or malfunctioning because of dropping it, but makes me hate technology. Anybody else have these problems, and how to fix it if possible?
