Any Way to get Dolphin at 100% efficiency all the time?

I've been experimenting with Melee on Dolphin 4.0-652. I've set the graphics to OpenGL. I have 8gb of RAM, a R7 260X graphics card, and an AMD FX-6300 processor, all decently good, yet for some reason Melee fails to consistently run at 100% efficiency at 60 FPS. All other settings are default.

I've looked at guides looking to improve this but they've only barely helped. What would you guys recommend on how to improve my ISO efficiency?

Make sure you get the latest DirectX User Runtime. Then use DirectX on Dolphin instead of OpenGL. Make sure your resolution in Dolphin is set to 640x480 with the frame limit set to auto. If you have a dual core or quad core CPU, make sure dual-core is checked in settings.

Your bottleneck is definitely your CPU, but you should be fine. I would go ahead and get 4.0-5886 as it is much faster and offers a lot of benefits.

Considering melee doesn't even run at 60fps on the gamecube all the time, it's pretty unlikely.

You can get really close though.

I think for the purpose of this thread OP wants dolphin to run just as well as console, which is most dependent on your CPU.

Even still, dolphin has a feature that can emulate a CPU overclock so you can make anything run at full speed even if it doesn't on console. Although the only times melee doesn't run at a full 60 fps is maybe like 4 ice climbers on FOD.

Melee actually sits between 56fps and 60fps all the time on the console, you don't really start noticing it actually causing problems until you're on a FOD teams match, but it does happen, even on stages like FD.

I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped a frame or two here and there, considering it's probably the game that took advantage of the Gamecubes hardware the most. Or maybe WindWaker (seriously, have you seen how they created those blades of grass? That stuff is crazy!)

Actually (at least on dolphin) ssbm and windwaker (more so the latter) are some of the most lightweight games. The most demanding is the last story.

The last story isn't a gamecube title.

Oh yeah, Twilight Princess, that thing was a beautiful game for its time.
