Anyone who know something about a weekend smash touney in the boston area, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Game Underground (Framingham local game store) is having a tournament at Laugh Boston On Sunday February 15th. I haven't found a link, but they should have a FB event about it.

Game Underground has weekly Smash 4 tournaments on Tuesdays as well. Check here for more info. They typically get a decent turnout provided it's not snowing.
