Any pointers to exploding c4 faster when recovering?

hey guys, i was just watching this vid: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-fv2IsRoZhs

and was wondering how ally was able to explode that c4 so fast at about 1:47 in the vid. I've tried holding down and mashing b but that just makes me fast fall to my death more than anything.

Is there a specific page i should be looking at for the answer to my question? Cause the 1st post and page only mentions that the c4 auto explodes after 26.5 secs.

Also to add on to my original question, when you're up+bing and your against the lowest part of FD, is it possible to c4 recover?
