sometimes they use it to stop their dash dance any time during it, cause usually falcons will dash dance in the matches.

You should always wavedash with Captain Falcon. It should be the only thing you are known for.

Its good to have for spacing, but other than that you dont need to use it that much.

no problem, just watch some falcon vids too, and look carefully on how they use wavedashing, preferbably isai, silentspectre, or darkrain falcons. u can find a lot on youtube.com, just search their names.

Wavedashing is ok for falcon, wavelanding though is A+ for flow with Falcon, especially on platform stages.
