Any Optimised Ice Climbers?

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but has there been attempts to make Ice Climbers more optimised to improve framerate/lag? Seeing that they are 2 characters, playing 4 Ice Climbers (if that ever happens) would be kinda crazy for the game to handle.
