So I just got Sm4sh for my 3DS. And I suck. I'm just generally bad. I (sort of) main Shiek and half the time in a 3 stock match against a level 9 CPU, I only kill them once! Don't even get me started about online. It's slightly depressing and has only had me crying in the corner for 37 hours. 38 tops. I don't really know who to main. I did main brawler but then I couldn't play him online so that went out the window. I don't like slow characters, I need someone with a projectile, and that's about all my criteria. I'm just kind of bad at Smash Bros in general. Are there any tips or characters you would recommend to someone who is a complete OMGN00BSKRUBLOLGITREKTWOMBOCOMBO

Down on the corner, out in the street.

1. Don't battle against Level 9 CPU's. Generally, you would want to start at the lower levels and work your way up. Start from level 5 or level 6.

2. I have a few suggestions for Characters. Try using someone like Mario just to get started, and eventually move over to other Characters like Doctor Mario, Ness, Pit/ Dark Pit and ZSS (Zero Suit Samus). Use them against level 5-6 CPU's. Go to training and practice combos and other character specific techniques.

Using this method myself, it was rather easy for me to find what characters I wanted to main. For you it might take slightly longer, since you say you are "generally bad".

3. Once you have done these and you feel confident enough, go and play with other people online. Remember, loosing can only help you improve. When you loose a match, think about why you lost against the character or the match and think about how you can improve next time you go against them, or when you go into your next match.

4. And don't forgot to do your best! :p

Hopefully this help you out! :p :) :seuss:

Ness is the perfect fit for you. Most of his attacks are projectiles and he has a really noob friendly good combos and damage output. He moves about as fast as Shulk. Believe me, I main Ness and he sounds perfect for you.
