another semi-broken IC's technique

it will only work on certain character, particular the ones that aren't super-fast. also you can't be too far away from your opponent

desynch nana into charging a forward smash and then run up to your opponent and shield (i prefer to light shield if I think their going to try to grab me).

if your opponent grabs you, f-smash them, if they attack, f-smash if you can or just shield grab them.

i'm pretty sure all they can do is either be faster than you or run away

i love Ice Climbers :-P

(nana may have to take a hit for this so i wouldn't reccomend doing it like against ganon's warlock punch or sommin lol)


EDIT: lulz i just found outin my practice that if you time it correctly, you can charge d-smash instead of f-smash and then GRAB right after you hit the d-smash LOL

Doesn't work on Marth, Samus, Falco, Peach, and I dont have a lot of success with it vs Fox, however against the rest of the cast it works alright for me, it requires some good reactions though.

Speaking of making nana charge a Fsmash, anyone ever make nana charge a Fsmash while popo does a dash attack (not sure if it's a pivot desync) But if you are facing away from someone and do a quick dash attack at them nana should charge a Fsmash while you do the DA. Haven't really been able to try it in combat. but was curious if anyone used it.

I mean you could hit with the Dash attack if they dodge the get hit by the Fsmash since you can release it whenever if they jump you have protection with the Fsmash (you should be out of Dash attack animation before the Fsmash even ends) and they can't exactly shield grab you since if they do they get a charged Fsmash in the face.

Just throwing it out there to see what anyone has to say about it.

K, I do that on accident sometimes and I'll dash attack and Nana will fsmash them out of it but I like your use for it, seems relatively safe.

What I do is I sidestep desynch so that nana does a d-smash (I use the c-stick) then I time it right and grab them right after, instead of charging the smash attack.

I've done this a couple of times before against someone (If I understood you correctly).

the problem is good people would be hitting you out of your dodge before you could really smash or grab them or at the least wouldn't be that close during one.

yeah, personally i use grabs to desynch. it seems quicker, plus it might land you a grab or two. i've noticed that most people seem to use dodges, i'm not sure which is more beneficial.
but yeah barbecue that wat i was referring to, cool little trick.

@ binx yeah it requires a bit of precision and prediction on your part

Janitor I wasn't talking about your tech I was talking about the one where he charges dsmash and grabs, not sure what he was talking about but it sounded like he was grabbing them during the hit lag which seems kind of odd. Anyways though for your tech I do dash dance desynch make nana smash throw an ice block of my own and then have Nana start charging a smash.

This ONLY works in very high pressure situations where your opponent is on the defensive, if they are stuggling with you for control of the mid of the stage this is very risky because they have a lot of time to jump and hit you after Nana's smash and during your ice block and if they are fast or have a projectile some quick thinking on their part they can interupt Nana's smash and get away from the edge.
