Gyarados (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/100 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Ice Fang
---

Bulky Gyarados for my lead, Taunt the swtich since their lead gets intimidated. If I see an Electric move coming, switch to Electrivire for the Motor Drive Boost.

Electivire (♂) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk/176 Spd/80 SAtk
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop
- Earthquake
---

Switches in onto Electric moves that are ment for Gyarados gets the speed boost and come somewhat sweep with Expert Belt and the large variety of moves.

Tangrowth (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 HP/228 Def/28 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Toxic
---

My Defensive Wall, Knock Off, Seed or Toxic on the switch. Counters Swampert (Main Electrivire Counter) and other physical attackers. Also provides support for the team.

Blissey (♀) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 148 HP/252 Def/4 Spd/104 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled
- Flamethrower
- Sing
---

Sp Wall works in tandem with Tangrowth. Flamethrower instead of Ice Beam to hurt counters such as Metagross. Other then that the set is pretty self explainatory.

Infernape (♂) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 24 Atk/232 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Close Combat
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot
- Nasty Plot
---

I felt that I needed a bit more special (I still feel I need a bit more special) So I went with the mixed sweeper Infernape. Close Combat for those Special Walls. Nasty Plot on Swtiches, Grass Knot + Flamethrower (for STAB) provide decent type coverage.

Swampert (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/212 Def/56 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Hydro Pump
---

Bulky Swampert with a bit more support then a usual one. Roar for phazing, Stealth Rock for support. Counters Electrivire with its typing + Earthquake. And Hydro Pump for STAB.

Ghosts and Cresselia can hurt this team, So I kinda need a suggestion to counter that. Thanks

I used this exact same team some time ago. When I say exact, I mean right down to the EV spreads.

Cresselia is ruined by Tangrowth's Toxic. Just watch out for Ice Beam. If Ghosts become a problem, you could always use Shadow Ball on Blissey.

Until wii meet again,

gyravire....ewww

honostly, i never see electivires anymore, (i've only battled like 8)

anyways, you're team is so standard, it's not even funny

i'm not rating it, try something much more original next time

gyravire isn't good anymore, because whenever we see gyrados, we'll use a rock attack over electric attack anyday (just cause of electivire)

blissey is a \/\/hore, so no go there

tangrowth gets owned by pretty much any other grass type (and heatran)

infernape is your main poke to worry about, if you mispredict with him, you're not going anywhere really

and swampert is just a meh wall anyways

i'm just tired of seeing OU pokes with standard sets and EV spreads

so, more originality please

Yeah I understand, This is like my first DP team. And I just wanted to get a feel for this generation/metagame. I will definitely construct more teams that are more original as like I was doing in the R/S/E. And when I do, Ill post it on the boards

It looks pretty solid. I don't think I can suggest any changes.

But, a feeeew things-

1. Don't GyaraVire use... please? There are a good number of pokes who carry that unexpected Stone Edge/Electric Move. Using the example I've used in the past, Gallade. Gallade gets T-Punch and almost no one finds the patience to breed and tutor one T-Punch. THAT, or, no one thinks it'll work...

2. Sing = Unreliable. I've ran Sing a few times... It tends to miss at the most crucial of moments. Shadow Ball or T-Wave can be considered over Flamethrower/Sing.

3. Like I said before, solid team. Dusknoir and Spirtomb seem to fall to a well aimed Toxic. Nape can switch in on W-O-Ws, considering that Noir doesn't carry Earthquake and Tomb doesn'f carry Psychic >.>. Tangrowth should be able to hit it with Toxic at least... ScarfGar and SashGar can also cause some problems. I don't see an exact counter for those 2.

BTW- If you don't wanna run standard sets much, talk to me... the only person here who runs unstandard, original, unexpected, yet, working sets.
