Annoying computer virus going around

there's been a virus going around and circulating pretty fast. it's through AIM and i've already seen three smashers that have had their AIM account hacked. (in addition to myself)

if you get a message that looks anything like

JesusFernandez09 (11:56:56 PM): I made that for youu

DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK

that will just invite the virus onto your computer. if you know anything about this and/ or have seen the virus, please post anything you know.

There's a lot of those going around, like on msn and even on facebook.

It comes in a lot of different forms like:

"Check out my nudie pics! *link*" or "so and so had an error viewing your profile, click here to fix it" etc etc.

It's been around for a long time, so I think a lot of people are aware by now. If not, hopefully they'll know after reading this thread. =|

Anyone else reposting a link that has a virus (which at this point I'll say no links in this thread) will be warned - stiffly.

Guys, there is a little setting on your AIM lists that sets your contact settings to BUDDY LIST ONLY.

That means that people that are not on your buddy list cannot contact you.


Enable it.


And no, never post any malicious links ever, intentional or not.
It's a bannable offense.
