Announcer's Roy and Mewtwo

I'm really curious how they made such nice voice files for the announcer for Roy and Mewtwo. As best as I can figure for Roy, it's a combination of mR. game and watch and fighting allOY team.
Not sure how Mewtwo's was made though.

They spliced other recordings that were already in-game. So your Roy guess was fairly accurate (I can't confirm the exact sounds used)

Been curious about this myself. I always thought Roy's sounded spot on, but Mewtwo's was just a tad off.

Yeah, what they said, although I am pretty sure Roy's 'oy' is from "Grab the Coins!' because the pitch is the same. Yeah, the PMBRs are just so good. That Roy sounds like it was originally in the game. Mewtwo's is the tiniest bit off, but still sounds amazing. Yet another thing the PMBRs did that is absolutely amazing. :D

The guy who did Brawl's voice actually said Mewtwo and Roy at a convention. Despite this, they did sound splicing.

They did sound splicing mainly because Brawl's in-game recordings are of a higher quality from a technical standpoint.

Same. Although there is a nice announcer mod by Monolithfiji / Theytah (I don't have 10 posts yet, so look it up in Brawl Vault ).

I didn't think of the Grab the Coins, that's probably it. allOY sounds kinda lacking compared to it.
